With the continuous breakthrough of NB-IOT technology and the rapid development of the IOT industry, new requirements for connection modules, such as miniaturization and low cost, have been put forward. However, due to its short service life, demanding operating environment and binding by operators, traditional SIM Cards have been unable to meet the communication requirements under various extreme conditions of the IOT. In such an environment, eSIM cards came into being.
ESIM is short for "embedded SIM". Compared with the traditional physical SIM card, eSIM directly inserts SIM card into the user's terminal device, or endows the communication capability of SIM card to the chip, and then transfers the communication capability of various operators to the intelligent terminal at the chip layer through RSP (Remote Provisioning SIM configuration) technology.
eSIM is built into the device, allowing users to choose carrier packages more flexibly or change operators at any time without unlocking the device or buying new equipment. This development is in line with the trend that large SMI cards become small, and real becomes virtual, which can meet the connection demand of billions of devices in the Internet of things.
In order to help customers better realize the distribution and management of eSIM, Eou technology has launched an integrated eSIM management solution. The package includes integration of traffic resources from operators around the world, development of cloud management platforms, construction and customization of mobile applications, and operation and maintenance of eSIM related devices.
